Texture and Colour2023
Texture and Colour explores the ambiguous boundary of the grotesque - where beauty and discomfort coexist.Through experiments with plaster and resin, I investigated material properties to create surfaces that stimulate tactile imagination beyond visual perception.
Inspired by Ugo Rondinone, I applied intense hues that contrast sharply with reality. The work examines the moment when the familiar becomes strange, or the strange becomes beautiful, inviting audiences to experience a new sensory threshold between attraction and unease.
